Work First

I am super exited to leave for Norway on Saturday, but a lot of work has had to happen first to prepare for the trip, including a lot of practicing! I definitely dislike practicing (very strongly), but I love traveling,so I think it’s worth it!

Each of us had to make a deck of flashcards, one for every tune we have, to help us practice and know how to start a tune. They also include any notes we need about the arrangement ofthe tune. It was quite the process making all of them (ugh), but they are now a very useful tool,especially for when I went to Scandia Camp Mendocino, where there was no way of getting to my recordings. 

Speaking of camp, when I was there, I learned a lot about travelling with a group, and living on a pretty limited amount of clothes! I also learned a ton of awesome Hallingspringar! (The tunes and the dances!) Going to camp has made me even more excited for going to Norway, it’s going to be awesome!
